General Computer TechnicianPrimary DutiesThe General Computer Technician's primary duties will be to provide technical support services both in-house and off-site. Support duties will primarily be conducted over the phone, but will sometimes require on-site support.Applicant will be expected to address support issues in-house and at customer locations for a variety of software, and perform hardware setup and operating system configuration as needed. Applicant will also be required to travel when necessary to perform certain job functions. Other Duties Other functions may include but are not limited to system setup, customer training, software support, and hardware support. Agama Advertising is a business where team work is not only expected, it is required on a daily basis. In addition to the items listed above, other tasks that may be expected from all employees at Agama Advertising include items such as light cleaning, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, taking out trash and general errands. All employees are also expected to greet customers at the door and answer phones in a professional manner as required. Job RequirementsBachelor degree in a computer related field or 3rd party certifications preferred. Written and verbal communications skills are required. Applicant should be familiar with troubleshooting and operation of the Microsoft operating systems and general computer hardware. Proficiency in other operating systems is a positive.The prospective employee needs to be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds unassisted. This covers the handling of regular shipments that Agama Advertising may receive ( i.e. case of copy paper, printed materials, other supplies ). Due to some driving being required during the normal course of business, the prospective employee must have a clean driving record. In addition, some contracts Agama Advertising maintains may require drug testing and background checks. SalaryStarting pay is typically in the $18,000 to $24,000 range. Pay will be based on job skills and prior work experience.Work HoursThis is a full time, benefits eligible position. Most work will be during normal business hours ( 9 - 6 ), although some jobs will require work time in the evenings and on weekends. Typical work weeks are between 40 and 50 hours.
